Pete Sen is a graduate of the London College of Music and former Musical Director of Gifford's Circus. Aswell as being a songwriter, composer and producer, he set up The Music Guru in 2015, in order to banish boring music lessons forever! The Music Guru teaches the music that children love and it ensures that live performance is part of it too. After all, who doesn't want to be a rock star? ​ You can expect all Guru's to have an up to date enhanced DBS and safeguarding training. They will either have, or be working towards a university degree, at least Grade 8 in their chosen instrument and of course, a love for music. ​ What sets the Guru's apart from others, is that they are all musicians that play live regularly and they want to share their passion for music with their students. The Music Guru is one massive family and they care about every one of their students and want them all to do well. With a 100% pass rate (many at distinction or merit) that's why they've won the award of 'Best Music Tuition Company' of 2020 at the Central England Prestige Awards. ​ The Music Guru want to provide students with opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach for young musicians, for example, playing in local festivals and performing in annual concerts. The Music Guru can help source funding for families on a low income as they believe every child should have the opportunity to learn an instrument. ​ There is also a termly newsletter and termly progress reports to keep you up to date. Pete is always on hand should you want to discuss any advice and Claire (admin) is always on hand to deal with any queries. ​ Lessons are usually taught during school hours within schools and The Music Guru welcome enquiries from schools in Gloucestershire and parents. If you're an adult, please do get in touch too as there is some availability for lessons in the evening. Online tuition is also available. ​ Specialising in the Rock School and Trinity syllabus, Pete and the Guru's have made it their mission to ensure lessons are inspirational, fun and achieve fantastic results.
